2026 MIAA State Tournament Semi-Final Results

Girls Tennis: D3 Semi-Finals – #2 Dover-Sherborn defeats #6 Swampscott 3 to 2

#2 seeded Dover-Sherborn defeated #3 seeded Swampscott 3 to 2 and advances to their 2nd straight State Championship Game. Dover-Sherborn will next host #1 seeded Martha’s Vineyard at MIT duPont Tennis Courts on Saturday, June 13th at 2pm. Dover-Sherborn improves to 19 and 1 overall, Swampscott ends their season with a record of 18 and 1.

#1 Martha’s Vineyard goes into the state championship game with a perfect 20 and 0 record which includes a regular season 3 to 2 win over #2 Dover-Sherborn back on April 11th. Dover-Sherborn’s regular season trip to Martha’s Vineyard is currently the only blemish on their record this season and they will have the chance to avenge that early regular season loss with a D3 State Championship win! Martha’s Vineyard is also looking for some revenge of their own however, Dover-Sherborn captured last years State Title over Martha’s Vineyard with a 3-2 win to earn the D3 Championship trophy.

Softball: D3 Semi-Finals – #3 Joseph Case defeats #2 Norton 3 to 1

After an incredible spring season #2 seeded Norton fell short in the D3 State Semi-Finals falling 3 to 1 versus #3 seeded Joseph Case at UMass Dartmouth on Wednesday (June 10th). The game featured a tremendous pitching dual with the only runs being scored in the 5th inning. Joseph Case with 3 runs in the top of the 5th and Norton with 1 in the bottom of the inning.

Norton Pitcher Liana Dinubio pitched all 7 innings giving up 3 runs on 8 hits and struck out 2 hitters and went 1 for 3 at the plate and scored the only Lancers run of the game off a Gabby Rodriguez RBI double in the bottom of the 5th inning.

Norton ends their incredible Final-4 qualifying season with a record of 22 and 2, Joseph Case improves to 21 and 2 and moves on to the D3 State Finals. Congratulations to the Lancers on an incredible record-breaking season and tremendous state tournament run!

Boys Lacrosse: D3 Semi-Finals – #1 Dracut defeats #4 Medfield 11 to 7

#4 Medfield battled #1 Dracut at Bridgewater-Raynham H.S. on Wednesday June 10th in the D3 Semi-Finals. Medfield took a 6 to 3 lead into the halftime break but Dracut would fight all the way back and outscored Medfield 8 to 1 in the 2nd half to take the 11 to 7 win over Medfield.

Medfield ends their incredible final-4 qualifying season with a record 15 and 6, Dracut improves to 21 and 1 and will next take on #3 Scituate in the D3 State Finals. Congratulations to the Medfield Warriors for their incredible record-breaking season and tremendous state tournament run!
