Medfield Girls Basketball has done the unthinkable, they have won their 3rd straight state championship! Medfield finished the season as TVL Small Champions with a perfect record of 25 and 0 and capped off their undefeated season with a dominant performance in the D2 State championship capturing a 72-38 win over #3 St. Mary’s!

In their state championship win, Sophomore Abby Broderick netted a game-high 25 points. Senior Captain, Tess Baacke added 17 points and Junior Captain, Naya Annigeri added another 17 points. Throughout the season Medfield averaged a whopping 70 points per a game while holding their opponents to only 32 ppg. Medfield outscored their opponents by a ratio of more than 2 to 1 and dominated all season long and turned the Division 2 State Championship into more of a Medfield invitational :), there may not be a team in the state that is more well-rounded than the Medfield Warriors!

Medfield Warriors Girls Basketball has now won their last 31 games in a row and look to continue their incredible streak with perhaps a 4th championship in a row as most of their teams core returns next season!

Individual Female Outstanding Performance Awards
(In No Particular Order):

-Naya Annigeri (JR) – Medfield Girls Basketball
The 25-26 season was another incredible season for the Junior and featured accomplishments most don’t get to experience. Naya surpassed 1000 career points & played a major role in leading her team to a perfect undefeated season which included the TVL Small title & the Division 2 State Championship trophy. Naya was also named the TVL MVP for her 3rd season in a row!

Naya Annigeri averaged 19.3 points per a game and also 5.3 steals and 3.3 assists per a game this season. Annigeri tallied 20 points in the division 2, final 4 matchup with Minnechaug and contributed 17 points vs St. Mary’s during the D2 Finals at the Tsongas Center to help Medfield earn their 3rd consecutive state championship. Naya was also named a Boston Herald league All Star & invited to compete at the New England Showcase. If you look up Outstanding Performance in the dictionary, there should obviously be a picture of Naya Annigeri.

-Abby Broderick (SO) – Medfield Girls Basketball
Abby Broderick had almost identical stats to Naya Annigeri averaging 19.1 ppg, 5.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per a game. Broderick was at the top of the state with an incredible 43% from 3-point range and shot 80% from the free throw line. Broderick was also incredible in the State Tournament, netting 18 points in the D2 Semi-finals vs Minnechaug and a team-high 25 points in the D2 State Championship win over St. Mary’s.

Abby was also named a first team All-Star and if it wasn’t for Naya, she would have likely been the TVL MVP. Broderick teamed up with Naya propelled Medfield to be an absolute unstoppable force in the Post Season and I think it’s safe to say that with Abby & Naya expected to return to the Medfield lineup next season that a 4th consecutive State Championship for Medfield has very high potential!

-Jennifer Lin (JR) – Westwood Girls Hockey
When talking about incredible goaltending, there was perhaps no one more incredible around the state than the Westwood Junior starting goaltender, Jennifer Lin. Lin recorded 12 shutouts and gave up a miniscule 0.65 goals per a game on average. Jennifer Lin recorded an incredible 21 and 2 record and led the Wolverines this past season to the overtime Elite 8 where they fell short to Medfield 1-0. Jennifer Lin was also named this past season’s TVL Large MVP!

Jennifer Lin played a crucial role in leading the Wolverines to a 19 and 1 regular season and capturing the TVL Large title. Lin helped lead the charge for Westwood to finish a perfect 10-0-0 in TVL regular season matchups and served as the backbone of the incredible success for the Wolverines during the 25-26 season. Great goaltending is crucial to win titles and Jennifer Lin in net proved to be key for the incredible success of the Westwood Wolverines!

-Kamryn Perachi (SR) – Medfield Girls Hockey

In Kamryn Perachi’s last 2 seasons, Medfield Girls Hockey has won a State Championship and advanced to the Final 4 after being the underdogs in many playoff matchups. Perachi showed this past season that with her goaltending, Medfield can beat anyone. After a 34 save performance to help lead the Medfield Warriors to the state championship title over Milton in 2025, Kamryn managed to shut down one of the most potent offenses in the TVL & perhaps the state, upsetting #1 seeded Westwood Wolverines in overtime with a 1-0 victory in the Round of 8.

After winning the state championship in 2025, Medfield Warriors Girls Hockey was a substantially younger squad but managed to still have an incredible playoff run and get a gritty shutout overtime win in the Round of 8 versus Westwood. Westwood captured both regular season wins versus Medfield but during the playoffs Kamryn Perachi’s goaltending was key in helping the Medfield Warriors earn a 2nd straight postseason win over their TVL rivals and pull off one of the biggest upsets of the Winter post season. Kamryn was also named a TVL All-Star. Shutting out a #1 seed into overtime during the state tournament is the definition of outstanding performance!

-Ellen Baranowski (SO) – Norwood Girls Basketball

Ellen Baranowski was a nearly unstoppable force for the Norwood Mustangs averaging a Points-Rebounds double-double nearly every game during the 25-26 season. The sophomore earned TVL Large MVP and averaged a whopping 18 points & 11 rebounds per a game! Baranowski accrued 622 points during her sophomore year while pulling down 234 rebounds, she also averaged 3 blocks per a game and tallied 40 overall.

Ellen Baranowski led the charge for the Mustangs to the Round of 8 where they fell short to Medfield but gave the elite Medfield Warriors perhaps their toughest competition of the post season. Baranowski also recently earned Boston Herald All-Scholastic honors for her incredible accomplishments on the court and in the classroom. Ellen was the center for the Norwood Mustangs but is also the center of concentration for every opposing defense. Baranowski will be back with the Mustangs next year with the dynamic Lilly Cordani and the TVL should be on high alert!

(In No Particular Order):

-Sean Finnegan (SR) – Hopkinton Hillers Indoor Track & Field

Sean Finnegan is the very first 2x winner of a TVL outstanding performance award as he also earned fall recognition for his incredible Cross Country performance and giving Sean a 2nd recognition was just undeniable as his performance led Hopkinton Hillers Indoor Track & Field to an incredible Division 2 State Championship title!

Sean Finnegan was named the MVP of the D2 State Championship and tallied the most points in the field with 16 points overall (8 points in 1 Mile Run, 8 points in 2 Mile Run). Finnegan finished 2nd place in both events defeating 30+ competitors and his performance was the driving force which propelled the Hillers to a 69.5 score (a half point over 2nd place Concord-Carlisle). Sean finished 2.5 points over the 2nd leading scorer and Finnegan’s long distance running dominance proved to be a driving force for Hiller State Championship glory!

-Luke Dickson (SO) – Medfield Boys Hockey

Luke Dickson was an absolute force for Medfield Warriors Boys Hockey. Tallying 45 goals during the 25-26 season propelled the Warriors to a WILD state championship game versus powerhouse Hanover. Medfield came up just short in the D3 State Championship falling 7-5 but if there was ever a State Championship that could’ve gone either way, this one was it. The Luke & Matt Dickson combination was almost unstoppable all season long and Luke Dickson was named the TVL MVP due to his many dominant performances and astonoshing 45 goals! During the regular season Luke tallied 42 goals & 31 assists for 73 points overall.

Luke also deservedly earned All-Star Herald & Globe All-Scholastic recognition. Luke Dickson helped lead the Medfield Warriors to a 16 and 4, 25-26 season record including the incredible run to the D3 State Championship which included a massive & dominant revenge 5-0 win over last years state Champion Nauset. Luke also recorded a hat-trick in the state championship game scoring his 43rd, 44th & 45th goals of his Sophomore season.

-Matt Dickson (SR) – Medfield Boys Hockey
-If there were ever a pair of brothers that deserved to both receive TVLSN outstanding performance recognition during the same season, it’s Matt & Luke Dickson! Matt & Luke were the bash brothers of the TVL, a deadly combination to their opponents with chemistry on the ice that was unmatched! When one of the Dickson’s got goals, the other one got the majority of assists and it would flip-flop game by game leading to a Medfield win, yes there was SO MUCH talent throughout the Medfield roster and several deserve recognition, but the Dickson combination just seems to be a rare unmatched collaboration that propelled the team as a whole and played a major role in bringing the Warriors to their 2nd consecutive State Championship game.

Matt Dickson deservedly received TVL All Star recognition as he tallied 25 goals and 23 assists (48 points overall) during the 25-26 regular season. Additionally Matt Dickson was a massive force in the post season tallying 4 assists in the State Championship game and the game opening goal in the Semi-Finals revenge win vs Nauset. The Dickson brothers will be marked as one of the most affective brotherly duos in Medfield history & TVL history!

-Anthony Sateriale (SO) – Dedham Boys Wrestling

Anthony Sateriale finished 1st place at 113 LBS in the Sectionals & 1st Place in the D3 State Finals to help the Dedham Marauders earn 101 points in the D3 state title meet and finish a half point above Gloucester for 1st overall in the D3 State Championship.
