The 2nd seeded TVL-Large Champion, Westwood Wolverines capped off a perfect 25 and 0 season, winning their 49th straight game and taking home the Division 1 State Championship on Monday night (June 20th) with a dominant 16 to 1 win over #4 Wellesley. Westwood captured their 2nd straight State Championship title and 8th state title since 2008.
After giving up the lone Wellesley goal early on, Westwood was unstoppable! Lindsey Diomede scored five goals for the Wolverines. Kate Deehan had three goals, while Maddie Lyons, Ava Connaughton, and Lil Hancock each scored two goals. Carolina Nozzolillo and Kella McGrail each scored one goal in the State Championship victory.
