This past Wednesday (May 10th) Dover-Sherborn baseball captured a 5 to 2 win over the Hopkinton Hillers. The Hillers currently stand at 9 and 5 after losses to Dover-Sherborn and Medfield in their following game, Dover-Sherborn is 6 and 9 after snapping a 6 game losing streak in Hopkinton.
Freshman, Jackson Shusda came through big for the Blue Raiders pitching a complete game. Shusda pitched 7 innings giving up 2 runs on 8 hits and struck out one hitter in the Dover-Sherborn victory.
Dover-Sherborn plated all five of their runs in the 2nd inning and were able to hang on for the win behind the strong pitching of Shusda and some great defensive efforts including a tremendous throw from Senior RF, Ben Shroeder to get a runner out at the plate.
