Medway and Westwood Boys Basketball Split TVL Title

On Friday Night the Medway Mustangs defeated the Holliston Panthers 66-48 and the Westwood Wolverines took down Hopkinton 64-37. Medway improved to 16-3 overall and 15-3 in the TVL while Westwood finishes the season 17-3 overall and 14-3 in the TVL. Due to the unbalanced schedule for Westwood and Medway they will share this years TVL title. Holliston had a chance to earn the TVL title if they beat Medway.

The Medway-Holliston Boys game aired live on the TVL online radio stream and can be heard airing throughout most of the day Saturday and Sunday as well as starting at noon and 7pm all next week at our online radio stream page.

Medway pretty much had momentum throughout the game and never let go. The Mustangs outscored Holliston every quarter: (15-9, 14-10, 17-14, 20-15). Medway Senior, Andrew Tiernan was the star of the game dropping 20 points, 14 of which came in the 2nd half and kept Holliston out of contention despite multiple offensive surges by the Panthers. 6 foot 5 Junior, Liam Regan also had a great game dominating the low post and putting up 16 points. Regan went 6 for 8 from the free throw line after drawing multiple fouls dominating the interior.
