#1 Medfield Girls Lacrosse took a dominant 21 to 5 win over #5 Foxboro in the Division 3 State Semi-finals at Walpole High School to advance to the D3 State Championship. The TVL Large Champion, Medfield Warriors improve to 21 and 3 overall, Foxboro ends their season 15 and 7. Medfield will next take on #2 seeded Newburyport at a date, time and location to be announced. Newburyport is 20 and 2 heading into the championship game.
The Medfield Girls lost their D3 State Semi-Finals game last year, 10 to 9 to Norwell and Newburyport captured the D3 State Championship with a 13 to 10 win over Norwell. The Medfield Girls last won the D3 State Championship in 2022 with an 11 to 9 win over Cohasset. Can Medfield dethrone the defending D3 State Champions and claim their 1st State Championship since 2022?? We will find out on Thursday! Congrats to the Warriors on a tremendous season.
The #1 seeded Medfield Boys team could perhaps join the Medfield Girls team in a championship battle, but they must first take down #5 Nauset in their D3 State Semi-finals game on Tuesday (June 11th, 4:30pm) at Norwell High School.
