Medfield Boys Lacrosse Wins 2024 Division 3 MIAA State Championship!

#1 seeded Medfield Warriors Boys Lacrosse took home the Division 3 State Championship this past Saturday (6/15) defeating #2 seeded Scituate Sailors 13 to 4. Medfield finishes their season with a D3 State Championship, a TVL Large title and a record of 20 wins and 3 losses, Scituate finishes 19 and 6. The Medfield Boys claimed their first Boys LAX state title in 8 years, they last won the State Championship in 2016, defeating Hingham to claim the D2 State title. The D3 State championship game ended up taking place at Westwood High School with a 10am start on Saturday after a time and location change, due to bad weather on Friday night.

Game Summary: In the first half Medfield had 7 different goal scorers: Jack Sampson (JR) netted the first, Ben Lusby (JR) had (2) goals with the 2nd and 3rd Warriors scores, Ian Reddy (JR), Jackson Dodge (SO), Tim Collins (SR), Matt George (SR) and Joe Bartolotta (SR) all netted goals for Medfield and they led 8-3 at the half. In the 3rd quarter, Tim Collins (SR) and Ben Lusby (JR) each netted their 2nd goals of the game and Medfield led 10-3 heading into the 4th quarter. In the 4th quarter Tim Collins (SR) netted his hat-trick goal, Batolotta netted his 2nd goal of the game and Gavin Marmai (JR) netted a goal. Medfield took control of the D3 State championship game in the 1st quarter and never let go.

The #1 seeded Medfield Girls also won the D3 State Championship, defeating #2 Newburyport 14 to 10.
