“Hopkinton Public Schools is delighted to announce that Deirdre King has been offered and has accepted the position of Athletic Director at Hopkinton High School/Middle School. In the past seven years, in her role as Guidance Counselor at Hopkinton High School, Ms. King has become well acquainted with the Hopkinton High School community and has built meaningful, positive relationships with students, parents, staff and administrators.
Ms. King holds a Master of Education in School Counseling from Boston University. Her undergraduate work was in Psychology, completed at Trinity College. She had also previously served as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Framingham High School and Ashland High School. Ms. King has also served as the coordinator for our UNITE mentoring program and Captains Council at the high school for the past four years.
Pending successful contract negotiations, Ms. King will assume the role of Hopkinton High School Athletic Director on July 1, 2016.”
