On Saturday Evening (3/4) 7th seeded Coyle & Cassidy and 2nd seeded Medway met up at Pirelli Veterans Arena in Franklin for a quarter-finals matchup in the South Division 2 bracket.
Coyle & Cassidy struck first with 11:52 left in the 1st period. Sophomore Forward, Nate Steinhoff responded with the first goal for the Mustangs at 6:25 left in the 1st. Senior, Cole Fisher netted another one for Medway on a power-play with 4:13 left in the 1st. Medway led 2-1 after 1st period. Coyle & Cassidy had the only goal of the 2nd period and tied it up at 2 with 4:27 left in the period.
Medway scored the only other goal in the game with 5:30 left in the 3rd. Cole Fisher scored his 2nd and Senior, Andrew Diebus picked up his 2nd assist. Diebus had both assists on Cole Fisher goals. Medway took the victory over Coyle & Cassidy 3-2.
Coyle & Cassidy finishes their season with 13 wins, 6 losses and 3 ties. Medway improved to 17-2-3 and advances to take on #6th seeded Canton (16-4-3) on Tuesday (3/7) 5:30pm at the Gallo Arena in Bourne.
