In the South Division 3 Sectional Quarter Finals, #5th seeded Old Rochester/Fairhaven took on #4th Seeded Hopkinton.

It was a tough physical defensive game that featured many shots on net but not a lot of scoring throughout the first two periods. The 1st goal of the game came with 1:24 left in the 1st period. Senior Captain, Sam Henrie netted a wrister in the slot to make it 1-0 Old Rochester.

Despite many good shots on net in 2nd period by both teams, the next goal would not come until the 3rd period. Hillers Junior Forward, DJ Sloan tied it at 1-1 off an assist from Hunter Temple and Jack Sloan, 57 seconds into the period. Sloan then powered another one by Senior Goaltender, Chase Cunningham 21 seconds later at 13:42 left to make it 2-1 Hillers.

Unfortunately for the Hillers, Old Rochester Senior Captain, Sam Henrie wasn’t done. Brothers Ryan and Zakary Labonte connected with Henrie and helped him net his 3rd goal of the game tying the score at 3 with 2:45 left. That would be the final goal of regulation.

After 5 goals combined in the 3rd period, the next goal came in the 2nd overtime period. After a scoreless 6 minute 1st OT period, the 2nd OT period put 3 on 3. Senior, Noah Strawn netted the game winning goal 26 seconds into the 2nd overtime period after pressure by Sam Henrie and Landon Goguen infront of the net.

Old Rochester took the 4-3 victory over the Hopkinton Hillers in double overtime. The Hillers finish an incredible season at 18-3-1 while Old Rochester improves to 21-3-0 and advances to take on 16th seeded Dartmouth in the Semi-Finals.
