The Hopkinton Hillers baseball team is back at practice and getting ready for the 2016 season. Despite many new faces on the team this season, 5th year Head Coach, Jay Golden is feeling good about this years team; “so far, the attitude, the approach, everything since day 1 has been really good…it’s a solid group of kids, nice kids, they pull for each other, they support each other.”
Infielders Jack Vaccari and Kyle Halloran will anchor the team as this years captains and provide great experience to the infield. Coach Golden stated this years captains were voted in unanimously by teammates. “The two of them are very good friends, they have been since they were little, they know where each others going to be without even saying a word..their very good leaders.”
The pitching rotation is expected to be anchored by Tom Onsi, Geoff Holler and Drew Simi. while the outfield is a battle between several different players. Hear more about this years team in the video below.
