Long after you may have been asleep, the USA Women’s Olympic Hockey team took the Gold Medal with an overtime shootout 3-2 win over Canada. The game was absolutely amazing throughout. USA scored a goal in the 1st period, Canada answered with 2 of their own in the 2nd period and led 2-1 heading to the 3rd. USA tied it up in the 3rd and it remained tied throughout the 20 minute overtime period. USA took the win in the shootout, Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson scored the winning goal and gave USA the 3-2 Shootout win.
