Hopkinton Hillers Football defeated Pembroke 13-0 on October 27th in the first round of the playoffs. Connor Hebert found the end-zone in the 3rd quarter on a 4 yard run capping off a 43 yard drive. In the 4th quarter, Ryan Kelleher connected with Will Abbott for a 48 yard touchdown pass.
In the following week on Friday November 3rd, 1st seeded 8 and 0 Hopkinton hosted 4th seeded 4 and 4 Dartmouth. The Hillers found the endzone in the 2nd quarter on a Shane Cooney interception and 20 yard run-back. The extra point was no good. On the following drive, the Hillers defense forced Dartmouth to punt and found the end-zone again with a 2 yard pass from Ryan Kelleher to Matt Lindquist to cap off a 52 yard, 1 minute 40 second drive.
In the 2nd half, the Hillers continued their shutout into the 4th quarter and found the end-zone with 7:30 seconds left once again. The Hillers put together a 56 yard drive that lasted nearly 8 and a half minutes, Ryan Kelleher ran into the end zone from a yard out. On the following Darmouth drive, Luke D’Aloia secured the victory with the 2nd Hillers pick-six of the game. Hopkinton defeated Dartmouth 27-0 and will Host Milton in the D4 South Sectional Championship on Friday, November 10th at 7pm at David M. Hughes Stadium. View highlights below.
