After losing the first 2 games of the season 3-0, the Hillers won their home opener against Holliston 3-0. The Hillers improved to 1 and 2 while Holliston fell to 0 and 3.
The Hillers defense came up big on several occasions including catching a runner stealing and a pair of good catches. In the bottom of the 2nd, Bri Mirabile took advantage of a bases loaded situation as she landed a base hit up the middle driving in Lindsay Whittles and Maille Bennett. Freshman, Lilly Morningstar added a run in the 4th as she drove in Isabelle Holden.
Bri Mirabile pitched a gem as she recorded 2 strikeouts every inning until the 7th. She recorded an additional strikeout in the 7th and had 13 total as she got the shutout victory. Check out the highlights above!
