TVL Football News & Notes September 8th 2023

-Hopkinton defeats Wayland 20 to 19
Junior QB, Julian Rivard rushed for 2 Td’s for the Hillers. (3 Yards, 1 Yard). Hillers overcame a 19-13 deficit in final 1 minute 14 seconds. Rivard connected with SR Wideout, Sam Pantera for a 50-yard touchdown to tie the game at 19 a piece. Sophomore, Jon Winslow gave the Hillers the 20-19 lead with a successful extra-point. On the following, final Wayland drive of the game, Senior Captain DL, Jason Girard came up with a key sack and Senior Captain, Charlie Petruney a key tackle. The Hillers took the game that went down to the very-last second.

-Foxboro defeats Holliston 18 to 15
Holliston outscored Foxboro in 4th quarter 8-0, but fell in a cross-matchup between Hockomock and TVL. In the battle of power-house programs, Foxboro captured their 1st win over Holliston in program history. Holliston currently leads overall series 2 to 1. Sr, QB Landon Beecher was 11 for 19 and threw for 107 yards for the Panthers. SO, Connor Teague had 5 receptions for 55 yards and SR, Devin Harding had 12 carries for 46 yards.

-Ashland defeats Dover-Sherborn 34 to 19

-Medfield defeats Medway 27 to 0
In the shut-out victory for Medfield: Sophomore, RB Brady McCormack had a 25 yard, rushing touchdown, Senior QB, Nick Hasapidis had a 9 yard rushing touchdown. Senior DB, Tomiwa Ojuolape had a pick-6.

-Norton defeats Randolph 30 to 15
Ethan Rodriguez had a pair of 2nd half Norton TD’s to help lead the Lancers to a victory.

-Tri-County defeats Millis 12 to 0

-Weymouth defeats Westwood 27 to 20

-Norwood defeats Stoughton 14 to 7
