TVL Football Game of the Week: Week 2 (9-18-2026) Bellingham Blackhawks @ Westwood Wolverines

In this years first TVL Sports Net Football game of the Week on Friday (Sept 18th) 0 and 1 Westwood hosted 1 and 0 Bellingham. The Wolverines were looking for their first win of the season after starting off the season with a tough 20 to 13 overtime loss vs Grafton and Bellingham was looking for their 2nd win of the season after starting off the year with a big non-league 24-7 win over Woburn at home.

The first score of the game was by Bellingham RB #22 Jax Elder (JR) on a run from 7 yards out in the 1st quarter followed by an extra point by RB/DB/K #24 Liam Lopez (JR) to put Bellingham up 7-0 following a Westwood possession which concluded with a Bellingham interception by #24 Liam Lopez around the Westwood 40 yard-line.

On the following drive, the Bellingham defense came through huge and forced a punt that was kicked short and Blackhawks started their next drive on the Westwood 41 yard-line. After driving up field the drive resulted with a QB Cam MacGregor (SR) connection with WR Anthony Barrasso (JR) for a 10 yard touchdown pass + the Lopez extra point would give Bellingham a 14-0 lead early in the 2nd quarter. MacGregor and Barrasso connected once again late in the 2nd quarter for a 45 yard touchdown pass & the Barrasso extra point put Bellingham up 21-0 and that’s how the score stayed into the halftime break.

In the 3rd quarter Westwood forced a Bellingham punt which would ultimately lead to an 80 yard touchdown drive for the Wolverines. The drive result was a 4 yard touchdown pass from QB Chase Warren (SO) to #2 Jumaane South (SR) + a 2 point conversion keeper by Warren to make it a 21-8 game.

In the 4th quarter, #9 Cam MacGregor (SR) secured the win for Bellingham with a handoff to #22 Jax Elder (JR) which led to a 5 yard touchdown run to make it a 28-8 game and later in the quarter a short field goal by #9 Cam MacGregor would make it a 31 to 8 Bellingham lead at which would end up being the final result of the game.

Bellingham improves to 2 and 0, Westwood falls to 0 and 2 on the season. Westwood will next be at Malden Catholic on Friday September 25th at 6pm and Bellingham will next host Ashland at Bellingham H.S. at 7pm.
