In an Instagram post Gabby announced the following; “I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to Salem State University to further both my academic and athletic career! I am beyond thankful for this opportunity and everyone that has helped me get here.
I would like to begin by thanking my parents for their overwhelming support and the countless hours spent driving me to fields for games and practices. To my first coach, my dad: I can’t believe everything that you have done for me and all of his faith in me. He’s been my coach since I started and he’s my coach for my last season. All of his time and effort he put into bettering me not only as a player but as a daughter.
Secondly, I would like to thank my coaches. To Coach Warren, Coach Rob, Coach Mikey, Coach Kurkul, and Coach Jeff, my high school coaches, for putting time into breaking bad habits of mine and making me a better player. To Coach Wade for never doubting me no matter what. His faith in me has always been something I never had to doubt. To Coach Emma, my club coach for 6 years. She has watched me grow and become the player I am. Her pushing me is the reason I can say why I am the player I am. She has been with me for so much more than softball, but for my personal life too and i’m forever grateful for her.
And finally to Coach Ryan. Thank you so much for believing in me and giving me this amazing opportunity to further my softball career to the collegiate level. I can’t wait to become a Viking!”
