The Millis Mohawks Girls Soccer team has advanced to the Division 4 State Finals. Millis will take on Millbury Saturday November 18th 10am at Worcester State University.
Millis finished the regular season 12-2-2. The Mohawks competed in the South Division 4 bracket and earned a first round bye and the 2 seed. Millis took down Rising Tide in the quarterfinals 8-0, Cohasset in the Semi-Finals 3-1 and Coyle & Cassidy in the sectional championship 4-0. Millis defeated North Champion, Amesbury 2-1 in double-overtime on Tuesday (11/14) to earn a spot in the state finals game. Sophomore, Alexi Vaillancourt scored the game winning goal for Millis.
The Mohawks (16-2-2) made the playoffs for their 1st time since 2014 last year and lost to East Bridgewater in the quarter-finals game. The Mohawks opponent, Millbury looks to win their 3rd straight state championship.
