On Tuesday November 4th, Medway Mustangs Field Hockey finished the regular season with 5 wins, 9 losses and 2 ties and captured the #12 seed in the Division 3 MIAA State Tournament bracket.
In their first game of the 2024-25 State Tournament, #12 Medway shutout #21 Nipmuc, 5 to 0 and advances to the Round of 16. For the Mustangs, Senior Captain, Ella Taylor earned a hat-trick with 3 goals. Ciara Maloney (SO) and Bella Cortis (JR) also netted a goal each.
Olivia Melanson (SR) contributed 2 assists for Medway, Sydney Coyle (JR), Bella Cortis (JR) and Ava Cortis (JR) also had assists for the Mustangs.
#12 seeded Medway (6-9-2) now advances to the Round of 16 and will take on #5 Dedham (14-3-2) on Wednesday, November 6th at 6pm! The rivals met once this season back on Monday, October 7th and the game resulted in a 2-1 Dedham win.
