Dover-Sherborn Boys and Girls Lacrosse are set for final 4 battles this week!
This past weekend (Sun, June 11), #3 seeded, Dover-Sherborn boys took down #6 Nantucket 10 to 3, improving to 15 and 6 overall and advancing to the D4 State Semi-Finals. Prior to the boys win, on Saturday (June 10) the #3 seeded Dover-Sherborn Girls captured a 16 to 5 win over #6 seeded Sandwich, improving to 17 and 6 and advancing to the D4 State Semi’s.
This is the 3rd straight year both Dover-Sherborn Boys and Girls Lacrosse have reached the final 4. The Dover-Sherborn boys are looking to capture their 2nd State Championship in the past 3 seasons, while the Dover-Sherborn Girls are looking to capture their 3rd straight State Championship. It cannot be emphasized enough how impressive the dominance of the Dover-Sherborn Boys and Girls Lacrosse programs has been.
In the D4 State Semi-Finals, #3 seeded Dover-Sherborn Girls (17-6) meet up with #2 Weston (14-8) on Tuesday, June 13th 7:45pm at Walpole HS. The #3 seeded Dover-Sherborn Boys (15-6) meet up with #2 Sandwich (14-7) on Wednesday, June 14th 4:30pm at Scituate HS.
Dover-Sherborn Boys Recent Playoff History
2020-2021: Defeated South Section Champion Norwell 10-4 to claim D3 State Championship, finished season 17 and 2.
2021-2022: Lost to #1 Sandwich in State Semi-Finals 7 to 6, finished season 13 and 10.
2022-2023: Advances to Final 4, result TBD
Dover-Sherborn Girls Recent Playoff History
2020-2021: Defeated C/W Champion Bromfield 12-10 to claim D3 State Championship and hand Bromfield their only loss of season. Dover-Sherborn finished 19 and 1 overall.
2021-2022: Defeated #1 Machester Essex 10 to 7 to claim D4 State Championship, finishes season 16 and 9.
2022-2023: Advances to Final 4, result TBD
