-Ashland won their third consecutive Opening Day game, outscoring opponents 31-3 in those three games

-Ashland beat Newton on Opening Day for the second consecutive season

-Ashland has now defeated Newton 4 consecutives times dating back to 07/23/17, outscoring them 37-14 in the process

-Jackson Hornung had a great game at the plate, going 2 for 2 with a double, triple, hit by pitch, 3 runs scored and 4 RBI

-Hornung’s 1st inning triple nearly went out, hitting the bottom of the fence to the left on the 360 foot marker

-Hornung also had a bases clearing double in Post 77’s 6-run 2nd inning

-Dom Cavanagh, Sean Jewett & Dante D’Avanzo all had 2 RBI each

-Hopkinton players Cole Glassburn & Drew Rancatore weren’t able to play (MIAA Playoffs still ongoing) but were still there to support their Post 77 teammates
