#15th seeded Ashland Boys Hockey advanced with a 4-1 win over #18th seeded Bishop Stang. Jackson Hornung (SO), Michael Burman (JR), George Boccelli (SR) and Brian Gazard (FR) all had goals for Ashland.
Sophomore, Jackson Hornung had the first goal with 11 seconds left in the 1st period. Bishop Stang tied it up early in the 2nd but a few minutes later, Junior, Michael Burman put Ashland up 2-1 and they never looked back.
Bishop Stang finishes the season with an 8-9-4 record while Ashland improves to 11-8-2 and moves on to take on 2nd seeded Nantucket. Nantucket has not lost a game and is 17-0-3 on the season. Ashland will play Nantucket at Gallo Arena in Bourne on Wednesday (March 1st) at 4pm.
Boys move on to play Nantucket Wednesday at 4 at Gallo after beating Bishop Stang 4-1. Goals scored by Hornung, Burman, Boccelli and Gazard.
