On Wednesday (4/29) Westwood & Ashland remained scoreless until the bottom of the 11th inning. J. Minerva started off the bottom of the 11th with a single and would next steal 2nd and a Jake Abdou single would push Minerva to 3rd base. After a passed ball on a pitch to Jon Bertone, Minerva would end up scoring the walk-off game-winning run to give Westwood an incredible 11 inning 1-0 win over the Ashland Clockers.
Ryan Petres pitched a 7 inning shoutout for Westwood giving up 2 hits, 0 runs and struck out 4 hitters. J Minerva pitched the final 4 innings for the Wolverines giving up a hit, 0 runs and struck out 4 hitters. For Ashland, Jared Grunbaum pitched 8 shoutout innings and Michael Schreiber pitched a shoutout 2 innings but the passed ball would be the ultimate difference allowing Westwood to take the 1-0 win in the incredible 11 inning pitchers dual.
