TVL Football News & Notes 10/15-10/16 2021

-Hopkinton defeats Medfield 34-21
Hopkinton improves to 2 and 4 with the win, Medfield fell to 0 and 6.

Hillers QB Robert Litscher capped-off a 4 minute, 14 second 80 yard drive with a 2 yard TD run to open up the game. CB Braden Hicks then had an interception on the first Medfield drive leading to a 70 yard TD run by Joe Carrazza to make it a 13-0 game at 4:19 left in the 1st quarter.

The following Medfield drive resulted in a Paul Litscher interception which was followed by an 81 yard TD reception by WR Seamus Murphy from Robert Litscher to make it a 20-0 game following an Avery Ravech extra point at 9:55 left in the 2nd quarter.

Medfield came back with an 80 yard Will Griffin touchdown reception from QB Nick Hasapidis. Medfield then forced a Hillers punt and Medfield QB Nick Hasapidis connected with Cole Cloney for a 13 yard touchdown. Extra point made it a 20-13 game. On the following drive Hillers QB Robert Litscher connected with WR Wyatt Stevens for a 44 yard touchdown and Ravech extra point made it a 27-13 game, that score remained until the halftime break.

In the 2nd half, Aidan Kelly had an interception in a scoreless 3rd quarter. Medfield scored the first points of the 2nd half with a 20 yard touchdown by Cole Cloney on a pass from Hasapidis, a successful 2-point conversion pass to Cloney made it a 27-21 game. In the 4th quarter, DL Justin Sokol put a stop to a Medfield drive in Hopkinton territory with 2 straight sacks to force a turnover on downs. RB Joe Carrazza would find the endzone once again with a 28 yard run at 49 seconds left in the 4th quarter to cap off the Hillers 34-21 victory.

Hopkinton hosts Westwood next Friday Night (10-22) at 7pm, Medfield heads to Holliston next Friday for a 7pm kickoff.

-Dover-Sherborn defeats Medway and captures 35-20 Road Win
Dover-Sherborn improves to 5 and 1 on the season, Medway falls to 3 and 3.

Medway led 7-0 after 1st Quarter, QB Luke Frauton connected with Connor Kewley at 1:02 left in the quarter. Dover-Sherborn QB Dan Sullivan responded in the 2nd quarter connecting with WR Michael Polk for a TD and 2-point conversion to make it an 8-7 Blue Raiders lead at 8:48 left in the 2nd half. Medway responded with a 20 yard TD pass from Frauton to WR Sean Converse at 5:22 left in the half and extra point made it a 14-8 Mustangs lead. Dover-Sherborn QB Dan Sullivan then found Brian Olson for a 40 yard touchdown and the extra point made it a 15-14 Blue Raiders lead. The 15-14 Dover-Sherborn lead remained into the half.

Dover-Sherborn returned the 2nd half opening kickoff for a Touchdown to make it a 22-14 lead, that score remained heading into the 4th quarter. Medway struck first in the 4th quarter when QB Dan Sullivan connected with WR Connor Kewley for a touchdown at 7:12 left to play to make it a 22-20 game. Dover-Sherborn would have the last 2 scores of the game, a TD run by RB Efosa Imade and pick-6 by CB Johnny Bennett would cap off the Dover-Sherborn victory.

Dover-Sherborn heads to Millis next Friday (10-22) for a 7pm kickoff, Medway hosts Bellingham at 6:30pm Friday (10-22).

-Dedham hangs on to beat Bellingham 21-19
Dedham improves to 4 and 2 on the season, Bellingham falls to 3 and 3.

Dedham next hosts Norton on Friday (10-22) at 6:30pm, Bellingham is at Medway next Friday for a 6:30pm kickoff.

-Norton defeats Millis 42-15
Norton improves to 5 and 0, Millis falls to 3 and 3

RB Anthony Tripolone had 2 touchdown runs, RB Colby Cerrone had 2 touchdown runs, QB Nathan Tripolone had a 56 yard touchdown pass to WR Kevin Pitts in the Norton victory.

Lancers are next on the road at Dedham (10-22) at 6:30pm, Millis host Dover-Sherborn (10-22) at 7pm.

-Ashland defeats Westwood 45-12
Ashland improves to 6 and 0 on the season, Westwood falls to 1 and 5.

Clockers RB Peter Gigliotti and RB Ethan Antoniuk had TD runs, QB Luke Herter connected with WR Jake Troutman and Jake Rymsza for touchdowns in the win.

Westwood is next at Hopkinton Friday (10-22) at 7pm, Ashland hosts Norwood at 7pm (10-22).

Saturday Games:
-Norwood defeats Holliston 42 to 7
Norwood improves to 5 and 1 on the season, Holliston falls to 1 and 5.

Senior, Subodh Dhakal rushed in 4 touchdowns for Norwood in the victory. Norwood is next at Ashland on Friday (10/22) at 7pm. Holliston is next at Medfield on Friday (10/22) at 7pm.
