After going undefeated in the TVL last season and finishing 19 and 1 overall, the Hopkinton Hillers Softball team is back at practice. This season the Hillers will be led by 1st year Head Coach, Kiely Murray and 1st year Assistant Coach, Bruce Elliot. Murray played softball for Holliston High School and previously served as an Assistant Coach for the Holliston Panthers softball team and Westborough High School Girls Volleyball team and is a School Counselor at Hopkinton High School. Assistant Coach, Bruce Elliot is the Wellness Director at Hopkinton High School and previously coached Baseball.

This years Hopkinton Hillers Softball Captains are Seniors Bri Mirabile and Senior Kate Welzel. Last year Bri Mirabile served as the Hillers backup pitcher but made several starting appearances. Mirabile compiled a record of 6 and 1 with a 0.48 ERA. In her 9 appearances and 8 starts, Mirabile pitched 3 complete games and had 2 shutouts. Infielder, Kate Welzel also had a solid season. Welzel played in all 20 regular season games and hit a .368 on the season while compiling 21 RBI’s, 22 Runs, 7 Doubles and 1 Home Run. Hear from this years captains in the video below.
