Norwood Field Hockey currently stands at the top of the TVL and improved to 8 and 1 Friday night with a 3-0 non-league win over Braintree. Braintree falls to 3-4-1 on the season.
In the Norwood victory, Junior, Forward, Shea Larkee netted a hat-trick and Senior, Midfielder, Lauren Galvin pitched in with 2 assists.
Norwood started the season 5 and 0 including a 5 to 2 win over 2nd place Hopkinton before a 5 to 0 loss to Walpole but has since won 3 straight, taking down Dedham, Bellingham and Braintree. Norwood is a perfect 7 and 0 versus TVL opponents and ranks 2nd overall in the Division 2 bracket for the first release of this seasons MIAA Power Rankings.
Next up for the 1st place 8 and 1 Mustangs is a trip to Dedham on Monday, October 2nd for a meeting with the 1-3-3 Dedham Marauders.
