It was a very fun weekend for the fans and students of Medfield High School. On Saturday (6/10) #2 seeded Medfield Baseball held on for a 3 to 1 win over #23 seeded Newburyport and earned a trip to the D3 State Semi-Finals. Later that afternoon, #2 seeded Medfield Girls Lacrosse defeated #7 Hanover 22 to 15 and earned a trip to the D3 State Semi-Finals and on (6/11) Sunday Night #5 Seeded Medfield Boys Lacrosse finished off a weekend of winning for the Warriors by capturing a 13 to 6 road win versus #4 seeded Grafton to advance to the D3 State Semi-Finals.
#2 Medfield Baseball next heads to the home of the Brockton Rox to take on #3 seeded Bishop Stang on Tuesday (6/13) at 4pm. #2 Medfield Girls Lacrosse will head to Veteran’s Stadium in Quincy to take on #6 Norwell on Wednesday (6/14) at 4:30pm and #5 Medfield Boys Lacrosse will also be at Veteran’s Stadium that evening to take on #1 Norwell in their D3 State Semi-Finals game at 6:30pm.

Baseball: #2 Medfield defeats #23 Newburyport 3 to 1 in Round of 8!
-Senior, Jack Collins pitched a complete game gem, giving up an unearned run, 2 hits and struck out 8. Collins also contributed a double and RBI Single. Junior, Jack Iovino hit a HR and Sophomore, Sebastian Lacruz-Valiente contributed an RBI hit in the Warriors Win. Medfield improves to 17 and 5 and will next head to the home of the Brockton Rox and battle #3 seeded Bishop Stang (16-5) on Tuesday (6/13) at 4pm.

Girls Lacrosse: #2 Medfield defeats #7 Hanover 22 to 15 in Round of 8!
-#2 Medfield Girls LAX improved to 20 and 3 with their win over Hanover on Saturday (6/10) and earned a trip to the final 4 at Veteran’s Stadium in Quincy. They will take on #6 seeded Norwell (18-4) on Wednesday (6/14) at 4:30pm. Medfield defeated Norwell in last years MIAA state tournament round of 8, 12 to 5. The Medfield girls are seeking their 2nd straight state title!

Boys Lacrosse: #5 Medfield defeats #4 Grafton 13 to 6 in Round of 8!
-#5 Medfield Boys Lacrosse improved to 15 and 6 after defeating #4 Grafton 13 to 6. Medfield Boys LAX will next take on #1 Norwell (17-3) at Veteran’s Stadium in Quincy. The game will take place Wednesday (6/14) at 6:30pm following the Medfield Girls playoff battle. This game will be a rematch of last years D3 state finals in which Norwell defeated Medfield 11 to 3.
