TVL Soccer Powerhouse Medfield & Dover-Sherborn B&G teams set to Battle at Gillette Stadium!

On Thursday (Oct 16th), the Medfield Warriors & Dover-Sherborn Blue Raiders High School Boys & Girls Soccer programs will be taking a field trip down to Foxborough and will have the opportunity to battle on the turf of legendry Gillette Stadium!

The festivities start off at 4pm with a Girls JV Exhibition match and that is followed up at 4:30pm with a JV Boys Exhibition match.

At 5:30pm, the 13-1-0 Medfield Girls go up against 6-5-1 Dover-Sherborn for what should be a tough, physical battle between 2 of the best programs in the TVL Small!

In their last meeting on September 4th, Medfield’s offense powered through Dover-Sherborn taking the win 7 to 2. The Medfield Girls are seeking a trip back to the State finals this year after falling just short in last years D3 title game, 1-0 vs Nipmuc. Nipmuc was also the team that knocked the Dover-Sherborn Girls out of the playoffs with a 2 to 1 final in a D3 Round of 8 game back on 11/14/24.

At 7:30pm, the 11-2-1 Medfield Boys go up against 8-3-1 Dover-Sherborn in a match that could very-well determine who will ultimately clinch the TVL Small title! The last time the 2 teams met was back on Thursday, September 4th where Medfield captured a 2-0 win following a tough, physical game.

Last season Dover-Sherborn took both meetings vs Medfield, the Warriors seek to return the favor this year. Dover-Sherborn took their 1st State Championship since 2010 last year and is looking for a repeat this season. On the way to that D3 State title, Dover-Sherborn defeated Medfield in the semi-finals so revenge will certainly be on the mind of the Medfield Warriors.

Gillette Stadium is a stadium that has been full of incredible rivalries over it’s many years of existence and this Thursday’s Medfield-Dover-Sherborn Girls & Boys games will add to the list of incredible rivalries to play a huge game in the house built by, Tom Brady, The New England Patriots & the New England Revolution!
