D3 Round of 32: #16 Medway defeats #17 Cardinal-Spellman 5 to 4 via a walk-off
Medway plated a walk-off run in the bottom of the 7th courtesy of an #2 Ally Fagan (P) groundball which allows her to reach on an error while #10 Alessandra Cautilli (SS) scored the game-winning walk-off run for the Mustangs. Prior to the Medway walk-off, Cardinal Spellman tied the game at 4 with a 3-run top of the 7th. In addition to getting the walk-off contact, Ally Fagan (P) also pitched all 7 innings giving up 4 runs (3 earned) and struck out 6 hitters. #10 Alessandra Cautilli (SS) went 3 for 4 at the plate and scored 3 runs for the Mustangs.
Medway advances to the Round of 16 and will take on an opponent to be determined at a date & time to be determined.

D5 Round of 32: #15 Millis hangs on for 11-9 win in Round of 32 VS #18 Mt. Greylock
A 5 run bottom of the 6th inning gave Millis the lead which they hung on too through the top of the 7th to get the D5 State tournament win and the advance to the Round of 16. A single by #3 Zoe Sparks (2B) got the inning started, #8 Molly Rand (SS) followed up with another single, #6 Alicia Ellis (C) drew a walk to load the bases, #2 Mia Vasta (P) then had a 2-run single followed up by a sacrifice groundout by #11 Macy Ingraham (RF) to give Millis a 10-9 lead. #4 Angela Noonan (LF) added a security run with a 2-out base hit to drive in #9 Isabella Briones (1B).
In addition to going 2-4 with 3 RBI’s and 2 runs at the plate, Mia Vasta pitched all 7 innings giving up 1 run on 11 hits while striking out 3 hitters. #7 Keira Davis (CF) was the only other Mohawk with multiple hits going 2 for 4 with 2 runs.
