Monday January 12th: Dedham Girls Hockey defeats Medfield 5 to 2
-Dedham/DS/Norton Co-Op improved to 6-2-0 (W-L-T) on the season, Medfield falls to 5-4-0 (W-L-T).
Brooke Moreno (JR) & Tori LaBrecque (SR) netted goals to give Dedham a 2-0 lead heading into the 1st intermission. Emma Homer (8th) & Adrianna NG (9th) had the assists. In the 2nd period, Julie Cotto (SR) added a goal for Dedham and it was a 3-1 Dedham lead heading into the 3rd. Ava Landry (JR) and Brooke Moreno (2nd Goal) put the game away adding goals in the 3rd period and the Marauders cruised to a 5-2 victory. Goaltender Erin McCabe (FR) also received praise for an impressive performance in net. Senior Captain, Tori LaBrecque received game puck for her defensive effort.
Dedham has now won their last 2 games and also has a league record of (3-1-0). The Marauders co-op team is currently ranked #7 in the Division 2 MIAA State Tournament rankings.
Dedham next hosts Leominster on Wednesday, January 14th at Noble & Greenough School Rink with a 7:15pm faceoff!
