Holliston played spoiler tonite vs Norwood on the Mustang’s senior night winning 4-0. Jack Whitten scored the first goal in the opening minutes off a long throw in by Ethan Suhajda. It appeared the field was narrower than usual as Ethan had no trouble throwing the ball to the back post multiple times.
To their credit the Mustangs responded and senior goalie Luke McHugh had to make a great save when a Mustang found himself behind the defense. Holliston went up 2-0 when senior Ricky Costa made a great crossing pass that Jesse Brodsky blasted into the net. Jack and Ethan teamed up again to give Jack a brace (2 goals) on another throw in before the end of the first half.
Holliston’s 4th goal was a header by Junior Andrew Cenolli off a corner kick by Jack. Ben Furey and Gavin Woodhouse replaced Luke in net for the 2nd half and preserved the shutout.
Holliston is now 12-2-2 and will face top ranked Medfield on Wednesday at Kamitian field at 430pm. Holliston defeated Medfield 2-1 earlier in the year to give them their only defeat.
