Westwood Wolverines Girls Volleyball started off their season 0 and 3 but followed up by winning five straight matches including an incredible 3-1 win over a good Medway team which was their 4th straight win during their 5 match win-streak! Morgan Donahue of Westwood Media Center and Westwood Living & caught up with some of the Lady Wolverines after their win over the Mustangs.
Through October 6th, Westwood Girls Volleyball stands at 5 and 5 overall. In their first 3 games Westwood lost via sweep to Norwood & Hopkinton and then a 3-1 loss vs Medfield. Westwood then took a 3-1 win at home vs Walpole, a 3-1 win at Ashland and a huge 3-2 win at home versus Holliston followed by another big 3-1 win at home vs Medway and concluded the 5 game win-streak with a sweep in Millis.
Since the 5 match win-streak, Westwood fell to a good Canton (Hockomock league) team via sweep in a non-league road match and lost via sweep to defending D3 State Champ & currently undefeated Bellingham (9-0).
Westwood Girls Volleyball will next head to Norton on Wednesday, October 7th for a 6pm match and hopes to get back in the win column.
