The Hopkinton Hillers (2-1-1) hosted the Medfield Warriors (2-1-1) and it was a wild game! After many threats by both teams in the 1st half, it remained scoreless into the halftime break.
In the 3rd quarter, Elena Valis produced the first score at 10:35 left assisted by Avery Quebec to make it a 1-0 game. Medfield struck back in the 4th quarter with 3:43 left with a Brooke Malmquist goal to make it a 1-1 game. The Hillers quickly responded off a penalty corner courtesy of Elena Valis with her 2nd score of the game to make it a 2-1 Hiller lead at 2:29 left to go. Soon after however Medfield put the pressure on and a Bridget Kelly shot from the attack zone retied the game 2-2 at 42 seconds left. The Hillers followed up with a time out and drew up a quick up-field passing plan, Avery Quebec fed the ball to Elena Valis who had a centering pass towards Taylor Interrante who nearly put a hole in the net with a blazing fast-ball shot to make it a 3-2 Hiller lead.
Hopkinton would hold on for the win and defeat Medfield for their first time since the 24-25 season in an absolutely epic win. Hopkinton improves to 3 wins, 1 loss, 1 tie. Medfield falls to 2 wins, 2 losses, 1 tie on the season.
