Hiller Boys & Girls Track & Field capture Wins over Norwood

-Hiller Girls Indoor Track & Field defeat Norwood 70 to 23

(Contributed Update) – On Thursday evening at Brandeis University, Hopkinton girls track & field team beat Norwood, 70-23, to remain undefeated and clinch the TVL Large School title. The Hillers swept five events–mile, 600m, 300m, 55m dash, and 55m hurdles.

Senior Meaghan Burdulis, junior Phoebe Klein and sophomore Lucy Stevenson took the top three in the 600m. Junior Jillian Toran, junior Lila Heling, and sophomore Audrey Evans swept the mile. Junior Addie Morrissey, junior Evi Larter, and junior Isabel Walker swept the 300m. Junior Bella Walkiewicz, junior Kylie Rogers, and Walker swept the hurdles. Junior Callie Owens, Larter, and Morrissey swept the dash.

Other event winners included senior Kaelyn Faber (shot put), sophomoreClara Bransfield (high jump), and senior Chloe Tumbleton (1000m).

The Hillers boys and girls both won the MSTCA Division 2 Relays on Sunday and will tune up at the MSTCA State Coaches and Freshman Sophomore Championships on Saturday before the TVL Showcase at The Track at New Balance on January 31

Top Hiller finishes included: Iago Ferreira – 55 meter, John Knutson (600 meter), Avi Ghosh (1000 meter), Darian Leo – 1 Mile, Lucas Arnold – 2 Mile, Jacob Logan – 55m hurdle, Athansios Grontzos, Matt Delprete, Joshua Fonseca & Kyle Carson – 4X400 relay, Ryan Morin – Shotput, Iago Ferreira – High Jump, Chavdar Kamenarov – Long Jump.
