Medfield Girls Basketball now stands at 12 and 0 after defeating Medgar Evers College Prep School (NY) 73 to 50 on Saturday Jan 17th & Bristol Central (CT) 82 to 54 on Sunday January 18th in tournament play at Pope Francis High School in Springfield!
Defending State Champion Medfield Warriors currently rank #2 in the Division 2 MIAA State Tournament bracket.
Naya Annigeri (JR) recorded a triple-double in Saturday’s (Jan 17th) 73-50 win over Medgar Evers (NY) with 30 points, 11 rebounds and 10 steals. Abby Broderick (SO) contributed 17 points and 6 rebounds, Tess Baacke (SR) had 16 points and 6 rebounds.
In the tournament championship on Sunday (Jan 18th), Naya Annigeri (JR) had another big game with 28 points, 8 steals as Medfield defeated Bristol County (CT) 82 to 54. Abby Broderick (SO) had 27 points and Tess Baacke (SR) contributed 15 points in the Warriors win.
Junior, Naya Annigeri was named tournament MVP! #2 Medfield next heads to #8 ranked (9-1) Hopkinton on Tuesday, Jan 20th for a 6:30pm tip-off! The huge cross-league matchup will be streaming live on HCAM!
