On Sunday March 10th at Gallo Arena in Bourne, the Hopkinton Hillers Boys Hockey team defeated Ashland 6-2 to claim their 1st ever sectional title. Steven Simoes scored a goal with 13 seconds left in the 1st. The Hillers exploded in the 2nd with 5 more goals: (14:10 left) Tommy Hamblet Assisted by Kyle Rogers, (11:55 left) Steven Simoes, (11:06 left) Kyle Rogers assisted by Sean Walsh, (0:29 left) Tommy Hamblet Assisted by Sean Walsh. Tommy Hamblet landed the hat trick with another goal in the 3rd at 12:08 left. Hillers next play in the State Semi-Finals, Wednesday March 13th at Tsongas Arena in Lowell versus Lowell HS.
