On Wednesday, the South Sectional Champion Medway Mustangs clinched a trip to the Division 3 State Championship with a 5 to 1 win over North Champion, Bishop Fenwick.
Justin Pratt (SR) pitched 5 innings giving up 1 run and 4 hits. Pratt also contributed a 2-rbi base-hit in the victory. During their playoff run, Medway has defeated Tri-County, got upset wins versus Diman and Dedham and also took down Ashland and Bishop Fenwick.
Medway (16-6) will play in the D3 State Championship versus West Champion, Taconic (21-3). The game will take place on Saturday, June 22nd 3:15pm at LaLacheur Park in Lowell.
