Medfield Alum Helps Nichols College to Another Championship Ring

Article by: Steve Watson

The Nichols College Men’s Tennis Team is a regional powerhouse. They have won eight consecutive Commonwealth Coast Conference Championships, capturing the 2019 crown on May 4th with a 5-0 win at home over Western New England. The Bison have a TVL connection in Max Karger, Medfield High School Class of 2016. Karger has been in college for three years and now has three Championship rings. That’s a pretty solid rings to years-attended ratio. He was 1-0 in both singes and doubles this year after going 4-0 in singles & 2-1 in doubles last year.

The team didn’t drop a single point against a conference opponent this season, going an astounding 73-0 against fellow CCC rivals. Unfortunately for the Bison, their magical run came to a halt in a first round loss to Wilkes in the NCAA Tournament. For Max Karger & the rest of the squad, the focus is now on getting The Next Ring.
