Hopkinton Hillers Sports Update 12-19-2018

-On Saturday December 15th, Hopkinton Hillers Boys Varsity Hockey hosted their home opener versus Ashland. After a 1-1 1st period, the Hillers netted 3 goals within a minute and a half of each other in the 2nd period. Junior, Sean Walsh netted a hat trick and helped the Hillers to a 5-2 victory over Ashland.

The Hillers improve to 2 and 0 on the season and have outscored their opponents in the first 2 games of the season by a total of 15 to 2.

-Hillers Swimming is off to a nice start, Boys and Girls are both 2 and 0 in league meets with wins over Norton and Medfied.
Boys: 12/8 @ Wellesley L 84-97, 12/12 VS Norton W 96-81, 12/15 VS Medfield W 95-78.
Girls: 12/12 VS Norton W 96-81, 12/15 VS Medfield W 95-78

-Hillers Girls Basketball picked up an overtime 32-30 win at home versus Holliston this past Tuesday. Sophomore, Caroline Connell knocked down the go-ahead 3 and had a team high 8 points as the Lady Hillers improved to 3 and 0 on the season.

-The Hopkinton Hillers Boys Basketball team defeated Holliston on the road by a final of 74-63. Coach Keane’s Hillers are now 1 and 1 overall.

-Hopkinton Hillers Boys and Girls indoor track also stand at both 2 and 0 after taking down Ashland and Medfield so far this season.
Boys: 12/8 Ashland – W 80-6, 12/13 VS Medfield W 49-37
Girls: 12/8 Ashland W 74-12, 12/13 VS Medfield W 55-30

-The Dover-Sherborn/Hopkinton Girls Co-Op Hockey team is also off to a good start with 2 wins and 2 losses overall.

-Hillers Wrestling has 2 wins and 2 losses. The wrestling team will be in participating in a tournament at St. John’s High School on Saturday December 22nd starting at 10am.
