Before this season, Millis competed in 3 straight Division 4 State Title games and won 2 of the 3 (2014 and 2015). In 2016 Millis lost in the State Finals against South Champion, Cathedral 45-41. This year Millis lost in the State Semi-Finals to West Champion Quaboag 61-36.
Despite the tough loss, it was another great year for a Millis Girls Basketball program that has been on an unbelievable run. Millis finished the regular season with 12 wins and 8 losses, Millis entered the Girls Central Division 4 sectional as the 12th seed. The Lady Mohawks cruised through the sectionals defeating 5th seeded AMSA 50-29, 4th seeded Tri-County 49-17, 16th seeded Whitinsville Christian 37-18 and 2nd seeded Douglas 53-27. Millis finishes the season with a 16 and 9 record overall.
